The idea for REDBOOT® emerged in response to a real need: back in 2000, while working with top equine surgeons and clinics in Lexington, Kentucky, veterinarian Agustín Almanza developed the first orthopedic devices for foals.

Dr. Almanza, trained in Argentina, Canada (Atlantic Veterinary College), and the U.S. (UC Davis), has decades of international experience treating top performance horses in Europe and Asia.
In 2007, he founded REDBOOT® to combine medical science with practical solutions that truly make a difference.

Now, based in Buenos Aires, Agustín leads innovation at REDBOOT® while running a consulting practice focused on equine lameness and advanced treatments, remaining deeply passionate about horses, polo, and his other huge passion: windsurfing.
